I would like to share my latest opinion piece dealing with the essential foundations of the existence of the State of Israel that was just published in the Jerusalem Post. In this essay I deliberate the singular nature of the State of Israel against its historical, national and religious history.
I believe it is essential to understand that Israel is an unparalleled phenomenon and then to apply this understanding in our individual and national lives. If our statehood and our national identity are to persevere, the new freedom that the establishment of Israel afforded and continues to afford Jews and Israelis must be appreciated and integrated into our reality.
