Limmud offers me the entire Jewish world in a microcosm. As one who teaches Judaism, I need to know what is happening in the larger Jewish world—all the struggles, the differences of opinion, the paradoxes, and the pain of many of my fellow Jews who don’t fit into an easily definable box but still love being part of our great endeavor.
Rabbi Cardozo’s short spiritual autobiography, Lonely but not Alone, was published in the May 2013 issue of “Conversations: The Journal of the Institute for Jewish Ideas and Ideals.” This is soon to be expanded into a philosophical autobiography spanning four decades of R’ Cardozo’s life and thought.
The DCA’s Jerusalem Think Tank, a forum of Jewish thinkers, educators and leaders, explores a wide range of Jewish topics–matters they struggle with every day–with the hope that exploring uncharted realms of Judaism in these challenging sessions will further invigorate authentic religious living.
